VolumeOne currently has two full time Architect / Intern Architect positions. VolumeOne is an international practice based in Detroit, specialized in architectural and urban design and committed to creating innovative, socially responsive, sustainable environments. The firm’s interest in collaborating across cultures and locations is reflected in current and past projects located in the United States, Germany and China. VolumeOne has built a portfolio of various building types and scales, such as residential, commercial, educational and cultural buildings, exhibition architecture, landscape design, as well as medium and large urban design projects, and master planning.

1. Intern Architect / Designer
Minimum requirements:
- Masters degree in architecture
- Collaborative team player, desire to be a leader
- Highly motivated with strong desire to learn
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Very good three-dimensional design skills with basic knowledge of construction systems
- Strong work ethic
- Good proficiency in SketchUp and Adobe Creative Suite and CAD/ Revit, proficiency in Vectorworks will be an advantage
2. Architect / Designer
Minimum requirements:
- Professional degree in architecture / Masters
- 3-5 years experience as a practicing architect or intern architect
- Experience in project design, construction documentation and construction administration
- High proficiency in SketchUp and Adobe Creative Suite and CAD/ Revit, proficiency in Vectorworks will be an advantage
- Ability to work in project teams and with clients collaboratively
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Professional work ethic and leadership skills
